The Eastern Caribbean paradise of Anguilla officially reopened its borders for tourism as of August 21, 2020. The good news is that Anguilla is currently COVID-19 free and all travelers are welcome to visit!
However, strict multiple testing and quarantine requirements apply as of now to all visitors.
Here are the current COVID-19 entry requirements and restrictions you should be aware about if planning to travel to Anguilla.
Who Can Enter Anguilla?
All countries are welcome to visit Anguilla. That is to say, everyone eligible for a visa and if granted the travel authorization applying on Anguilla’s official tourism website.

Before Arrival: Travel Requirements
Before traveling to Anguilla, all visitors must be granted pre-approval by applying for Travel Authorization on the Official Anguilla Website. And visitors from low-risk countries will be prioritized for a travel authorization.
All travelers should also submit a negative PCR test result no older than five days before arrival. Travelers should also submit a travel insurance policy that covers COVID-19.
Visitors must stay at approved accommodations that are listed on the official website.
Are There Testing and/or Quarantine upon arrival?
On arrival, all travelers must undergo another COVID-19 PCR test. After that, travelers will then undergo self-isolation in their villa/accommodation for a period of 10-days. After the self-isolation, travelers will be given another COVID-19 PCR test.
If at that time they test negative for COVID-19, that’s the time they will be able to explore the island.
In addition, wearing of face masks is not mandatory when you’re in Anguilla. It is however mandatory at the the airport.

What’s Open in Anguilla?
- Most of the hotels are not operating but there are accommodations open that can be found on Anguilla’s official website.
- Public transport is operating
- Restaurants are open for dine-in but with limited operation hours
- Boutiques, shops, and other activities are open.
