The dual-island nation of Saint Kitts and Nevis has announced that its borders will be reopening for tourism targeted for October 2020. Even though Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris did not provide an exact date, the reopening would allow for the resumption of commercial air and sea traffic carrying international passengers.
October 23 update: Saint Kitts and Nevis will reopen its borders to international visitors on October 31, 2020.

Who Can Enter Saint Kitts and Nevis?

October 2, 2020 update: Residents of the US state of California can now enter Costa Rica as tourists. To be allowed entry, they must provide a driver’s license or a state I.D. as proof that they live in California. They also need to submit a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 72 hours prior to arrival.
Entry Requirements
In addition, there’s still no official announcement about the entry requirements but tourists should expect similar entry protocols to those returning nationals or residents:
- Presenting a negative PCR test no older than 72 hours
- Should quarantine or self-isolate for 14 days
- Take a second PCR test when the 14-day quarantine is done
- Travelers should have a travel health insurance that covers COVID-19
Health Protocols and Safety Measures
In preparation for the borders reopening, the St. Kitts Tourism Authority, the Nevis Tourism Authority, and the Ministry of Tourism in conjunction with the Ministries of Health and Civil Aviation are conducting training. This includes training of 5,000 tourism industry stakeholders including hotels at no cost to them. That is to say, in order for businesses to operate the must have the ‘Travel Approved’ certification.
In addition, wearing a face mask is mandatory in public. Social and physical distancing protocols must be followed maintaining 6ft (1.8m) distance from others.

- Public transportation in Saint Kitts and Nevis is operating under capacity limitations.
- Restaurants in Saint Kitts and Nevis are open for takeout and delivery.
- Beaches are open between 5:30 to 10:00 in the morning.
- Non-essential businesses and attractions remain closed at the moment.
