The landlocked country of rugged terrain and diverse African wildlife has just reopened its borders for tourism. With its many parks and safari areas, Zambia is now welcoming all tourists back.
Who Can Travel to Zambia?

All countries. It’s a good news that Zambia is now once again allowing all travelers from all countries to visit and explore its wonders.
Are There Any Testing and/or Quarantine
Firstly, all tourists must present a negative PCR COVID-19 test taken within 14-days of departure. That is to say, mandatory testing before arrival must be done. Zambia clearly said that without the proof of this test, travelers will be denied entry.
Secondly, upon arrival, any tourists that are showing symptoms or has a temperature higher than the normal must be re-tested at the airport.
If tourists fulfill the above requirements, and they do not have symptoms, they do not need to quarantine upon arrival in Zambia.

Other Entry Requirement
- A valid visa or visa on arrival if applicable to your country of origin.
- Travelers should fill out the Health Questionnaire provided by the airline before disembarkation.
- All tourists should also expect temperature scans and health declarations.
Health Protocols and Safety Measures
- Travelers should always wear face masks in public places and common areas.
- All tourists should follow the social distancing safety measures.
- Most of all, tourists should monitor symptoms and report it if necessary.

What’s Open in Zambia?
- There are no restrictions on hotels and safari lodges but tourists should contact their accommodation provider for further information before traveling.
- Public transportation in Zambia is operating.
- Restaurants, gyms, and casinos are allowed to open, but bars and taverns remain closed.
- Public gatherings of more than 5 people, who are not a family, need written approval from the local authority.
